What happened in 2019?

2019 has been an exciting year for Haulmont in which we have opened new offices and expanded to over 400 staff.

Here’s a round-up of some of the big achievements across the business this year.

CUBA Platform (now Jmix)


As you might know, Haulmont is the developer of CUBA Platform (now Jmix) — a powerful open source framework for building business applications. The highlight of the year for the CUBA (now Jmix) team is the new CUBA Studio (now Jmix Studio), which has become a fully-featured IDE, improving usability and productivity for developers.

Over 10 new add-ons were added to the Marketplace, covering even more enterprise features “out of the box”. The marketplace is an ongoing project which the wider CUBA (now Jmix) community can add to and use to share ideas and knowledge with other developers across the globe.

The CUBA Platform (now Jmix) community has been growing steadily and there are now over 20,000 developers using CUBA (now Jmix). The biggest growth has been in China where the community has increased fivefold as a result of launching a local website and translating documentation into Mandarin with the help of our Chinese partners. In addition, CUBA (now Jmix) has been awarded “Most Valuable Project” on Gitee — Chinese counterpart of Github.

In 2020 we aim to replicate our success in China across other parts of the world and have already begun working with a local CUBA (now Jmix) enthusiast in Italy.

Sherlock Taxi


Sherlock Taxi has been recognised as a truly global taxi solution following its expansion into new territories including Sierra Leone, New Zealand and Singapore. These new markets brought exciting local challenges and we're delighted to see these new customers benefiting from Sherlock Taxi’s auto-allocator and other efficiency saving features.

Sherlock customers have received new updates this year with additional features including:

  • Share my ETA with a friend
  • Driver licence and document notifications in-app
  • Telephony updates
  • Google Places optimisations
  • Reference requests by payment type
  • Smart driver wages pop-up to simplify admin
  • Business intelligence dashboards
  • Account management portal (to allow account customers to manage their account in a single platform)

Custom Solutions


In addition to our core products, Haulmont also offers custom solutions to businesses that want to gain competitive advantage. Our custom solutions turnover has increased by 30% and our team has also grown by 20% in the past year.

We’ve recently launched our new website - www.haulmont.com and will be posting more blog updates in the new year as we continue to grow our custom solutions portfolio in 2020.
