What happened in 2019?
2019 has been an exciting year for Haulmont in which we have opened new offices and expanded to over 400 staff.
Here’s a round-up of some of the big achievements across the business this year.
As you might know, Haulmont is the developer of CUBA Platform — a powerful open source framework for building business applications. The highlight of the year for the CUBA team is the new CUBA Studio, which has become a fully-featured IDE, improving usability and productivity for developers.
Over 10 new add-ons were added to the Marketplace, covering even more enterprise features “out of the box”. The marketplace is an ongoing project which the wider CUBA community can add to and use to share ideas and knowledge with other developers across the globe.
The CUBA Platform community has been growing steadily and there are now over 20,000 developers using CUBA. The biggest growth has been in China where the community has increased fivefold as a result of launching a local website and translating documentation into Mandarin with the help of our Chinese partners. In addition, CUBA has been awarded “Most Valuable Project” on Gitee — Chinese counterpart of Github.
In 2020 we aim to replicate our success in China across other parts of the world and have already begun working with a local CUBA enthusiast in Italy.
THESIS has acquired over 100 new clients across various industries this year including banking, pharmaceuticals, and energy. Major new clients and projects include Kurban Group, CAEPCO, Ehrmann and Whirlpool as well as other big names in the car and finance industries that are currently under NDA.
A major update to THESIS was released to all clients which has many new features including:
- Ability to recognise duplicate records in contact lists to stop users doubling up on information
- Easier functionality and usability for managing tasks via the mobile app
- Ability to import documents from file storage directly into the mobile app
- Improved search in the mobile app
- Support for Microsoft Office 365, Windows Server 2016 and 2019
- End-user system administrators can now upload their own custom manuals based on business-specific workflows
The THESIS UK team exhibited at several events this year including the Digital Transformation Conference, AIIM Forum Europe and Reg Tech Expo; all of these events target information professionals looking to use technology to underpin their digital strategies. It was an exciting year for the team as THESIS begins to be recognised as an ECM brand alongside more established competitors in the local market. In 2020 we aim to continue this expansion into the UK territory.
