Haulmont Technology was selected by the Fitness Industry Association to develop the Shift Into Sports online platform in February 2010.  Using its proprietary CUBA development platform, Haulmont was able to deliver a beta version for testing with Addison Lee employees in just three months.

Haulmont works closely with the FIA team to provide consultancy on all aspects of technology and collaborates with a range of fitness industry partners and client companies to enable fast integration into the Shift Into Sports website.

The Shift Into Sports system comprises an online booking portal featuring full payments integration, handling customer card payments and distribution of funds to fitness providers. A map function enables customers to search a custom-built fitness supplier database and the site provides comprehensive customer and staff management portals. The site’s architecture is designed to provide the flexibility and scalability necessary to ensure that the system can handle future growth and whatever new operators or functionality are added as the Shift Into Sports program develops.  For example; future releases will feature customer profile matching and games scheduling to help users find exercise partners according to location, sports facility and interests.

Haulmont’s experience as a technology partner of the FIA has helped the company develop strong contacts and experience in the fitness industry, offering a range of solutions to health operators including booking platforms, website development and online payments systems.
