Philosophy
At Haulmont we believe that Open Source technology has matured to the point where it is often more cost effective to create bespoke solutions that perfectly match a business’s needs, rather than settling for a compromised approach and purchasing the ‘best fit’ off-the-shelf package.
Haulmont aims to be a different kind of software developer by providing an honest and thorough business analysis and we never over specify a system – we do not believe in technology for technology’s sake. In some cases we have even advised prospective clients not to spend money on IT systems where simple changes to existing business processes would deliver improvements.
We meet clients from all industries who have been mis-sold solutions or ended up adopting sub optimal processes to fit the requirements of their IT systems. Our philosophy is different; we have no traditional sales people, but rather a team of business analysts and solutions design experts who work with our clients to create a functional specification which meets current business needs, whilst also providing a flexible platform to support future growth and changing requirements. The team’s brief at Addison Lee was to create a system that would never need to be replaced; this is a philosophy we try to adhere to with all bespoke systems.
